He is also one of the co-founders of Ohana One and is the current President of the Board of Directors. He took some time to sit down with us and answer some questions about the mission and future of Ohana One.  **What aspect of Ohana One are you most proud of? **  I am proud of the team building and the people that have gotten together to support our projects. I am also proud of the collective brainstorming Ohana One has done about how to best support teams in resource deprived countries. To see people coming together to solve these problems, and create the organization and infrastructure has been inspirational.  **What do you hope to see Ohana One accomplish this year? ** We have a goal to get glasses out to those in need and are working with metrics to measure results. Ohana One is creating greater access on a global scale. I hope that this coming year Ohana One will be sponsoring some mission trips. Ohana One is also expanding our infrastructure to include bio-medical support. Many countries have critical machines that are broken, so even if we train the surgeons, it’s not enough — they also need to have access to working equipment. In general, I would like to see getting more people involved so we can further expand our surgical education programs.     **What special skills or passion do you bring to Ohana One? ** I bring passion to Ohana One. The earth is becoming more unequal and lopsided where there are the haves and the haves-not. I want to use my skills to support the have-nots. The only way our planet survives and progresses is if we all work together. Covid has made this clear. We need to work together for humanity, to make healthcare access more equal, and to train doctors that are resourced deprived. All of that is what I have a huge passion for that.    **What do you wish people knew about Ohana One?  ** I wish they knew this is a really streamlined organization, all of our resources go towards the mission. Our focus is on education and helping surgeons, nurses and anesthesiologists in resource-deprived countries function better.
